The common Iranian and Japanese Workshop was conducted for the first time in Iran on 2 May 2008, made by Japan Embassy, and Tehran Municipality Artistic & Cultural Organization observed the calligraphy workshop performance by master Ali Shirazi from Iran and professor Horie Kyoko and some famous Japanese calligraphists .
This magnificent ceremony was held at Tehran Imam Ali Museum, initially Japans ambassador lectured, then Dr. Sarsangii, deputy of Tehran Municipality Artistic & Cultural Organization lectured about the common characteristics between two countries thereupon master Gholamhossein Amir Khani, president of Iranian Artists Home and the Supervisor of Iranian Calligraphists Association lectured about the significance of calligraphy in two Iran and Japan Cultures.
The common workshop was conducted by attendance of many supporters and interested in art.
Professor Kyoko wrote some poems from Khayam and Mulavi in Japanese, and master Ali Shirazi performed one ( Hayko ) in NASTALEEGH(persian script) pen 7 cm., and 2.5 cm..
The (Kimono Pushi) traditional ceremony and traditional tea ceremony were observed.
